Despite the weather being a bit grey and wet, this afternoon’s Junior Sports Day went really well. All the children took part enthusiastically and had loads of fun. Thanks to all the parents who came along to support us.

The preparations are underway for tomorrow’s Summer Fair. We still have lots to do but Mrs Tushingham’s Craft Stall is looking fabulous and the Tombola is nearly ready. Take a look at some of the things you could win or buy if you join us tomorrow.

Year 5 have had a fabulous day at Blue Planet Aquarium today. We saw lots of amazing fish, found out loads of interesting information and even stroked a starfish. The pictures of our day will be posted on the blog soon.
Next week is our trip to the Music Festival so today Year 5 and 6 took part in a dress rehearsal. The children’s colourful clothes look great and everyone’s performance has really improved. This year looks like it’ll be another fabulous Music Festival.
This morning all of the juniors got together for our first full rehearsal of Seussical the Musical. Everything went really well and it definitely looks like it will be a fantastic end of year show. Take a look at some of our rehearsal photos.
Year 3 all successfully completed the inflatable assault course today and had lots of fun!
Year 5 have had our session with Commando Joe this morning and everyone really enjoyed taking part in the obstacle course, particularly the part with the inflatable slide. Today Commando Joe is in school to work with each class. The children are getting the opportunity to improve their fitness and agility by taking part in an obstacle course.
Today, Year 3 took part in a wild card challenge in small groups to research Roald Dahl and Dick King-Smith. The children researched all aspects of the authors lives and collected their findings ready to present to the rest of the class. Yesterday, Kaizen Do Karate came to visit our school to give us a karate taster session. Sensei Dervish and Sensei Laura worked with year 3 and taught the children how to focus, kick, chop and punch as part of their karate session. This afternoon Year 5 have had a chance to take part in a karate session and develop some new skills. Sensei Dervish came in to school to give us an introduction to karate and the children tried really hard with all the activities he asked them to do.
