2016 Christmas Party Year 3 and 4
Today was our Christmas party. Everyone had a fun time dancing, playing games and eating! Merry Christmas!!
A Christmas Gift from Mrs.Holmes
Today Mrs.Holmes presented all the children with a bookmark for Christmas. These are to support the children in their reading and will help to remind them of reading strategies. Thank you Mrs.Holmes

Design Technology Making Smoothies
As part of our DT topic, where food comes from, we ended this half term making smoothies. We made a raspberry and banana one and a pear and ginger one. The children preferred the raspberry and banana one!
Christmas Festivities
Today we had a short karaoke session to get us into the Christmas spirit. Then we made some Christmas cards with our student Mckenzie who has been with us for the past week. He prepared the resources and showed the children how to make the cards. The children were proud of their creations.
Google Virtual Reality Expeditions Visits Beal Vale
Last Friday, 9th December, we were lucky to have Daniel from Google visit our school and work with classes to experience virtual reality. Year 3 and 4 had a virtual tour of the World of Roald Dahl. The children had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Potions Lesson
As part of our Harry Potter topic, Year 5 took part in a Potions Lesson. The children designed their own magic potion and then measured out the ingredients, mixed them together and cast their spells. They each tasted their own potion to see if they worked.
Christmas Around The World Wildcard
Today the children took part in a wildcard which focused on how different countries in Europe celebrate Christmas. The children were given a country either Germany, France,Italy or Norway and they had to complete a series of tasks using their BLP skills (Building Learning Power).
