Year 5 Try Archery
In PE last week, Year 5 had the opportunity to try archery. The children worked hard to develop new skills and had a great time competing against their friends.

Cake Decorating
As part of our Royal Wedding celebrations today, Years 5 and 6 each decorated their own cupcake with red, white and blue icing and other toppings. The children had a great time and enjoyed eating their cakes afterwards.
A Right Royal Carry On!
Today, Year 4 have been celebrating the forthcoming wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The children came to school dressed in red, white and blue. They have solved a cryptic royal story, designed wedding invitations, participated in a royal quiz and created their own crowns and tiaras. Everyone enjoyed their day!
Wedding Fever!
Pupils have had a great time celebrating the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Megan Markle. Lots of creative activities and topped off with a special piece of wedding cake.
Year 1’s Royal wedding celebrations.
Year 1 enjoyed celebrating the Royal Wedding. They made some Royal Wedding buscuits, designed a wedding dress, made crowns, flags and bunting to hang up in the outdoor area. The children also had to solve the Royal Wedding phonics mystery. In the afternoon the children had cake and some juice.
Thinking about summer…
Year 1 had a wonderful afternoon exporing changes within the different seasons. They discussed what they think about when talking about summer and what things you often see in the environment in summer. The children created some wonderful art work linked to this.
Zoolab
On Friday we had a visitor called Matthew from Zoolab. He brought some amazing creatures some of which we were able to handle. The children were fascinated by the animals and the facts that they learned. In Science this week, Year 5 have been looking at the properties of materials. Year 4 – Litter Pickers Unite!
Many of the pupils in Year 4 spent their choosing time picking up litter from around the school grounds. They collected six bin bags full!

Electricity Science Show
On Friday, Adrian came into school to do science shows for KS1 and KS2. The KS2 show was all about electricity and the children had a great time watching and taking part in different experiments, and learning new things.

How to Become a Roman Gladiator
